I believe this page was carried over from Wikipedia.
There are now three lists of calendars accessible from the main page:
- Calendars Currently In Use
- Historical Calendars No Longer in Use
- Alternative and Proposed Calendars
I suggest that any calendars given in this "List of calendars" which is not already listed in one of these three lists be moved to the appropriate list. After that is done this page can then be deleted. Nothing is lost by this.
However, not all of the calendars listed here should be re-listed. An example is the Holocene Calendar, which is simply the Common Era Calendar with its first year set back by about 10,000 years. I don't think this merits being listed as a separate calendar.

- Correct. This was just a starting point. I've started breaking them out into separate articles (as you suggested) and there is a category for calendars and all are included there, so this list is perhaps redundant.
- I agree on the Holocene Calendar, too. - Nhprman 15:34, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Dear calendar friends, I have added the Chistian Lunar Calendar to the list because it is in use and it is not widely known. Greetings to all - Joachim Krueger
- Great! Feel free to click on the link you've created, write a bit about this calendar, then hit 'save page' to create the article. I'll be interested to learn more about it. - Nhprman 21:43, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
