Calendar Wiki

What sort of ideas do you have for the main page? -- BruceG (talk) 22:58, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Main page[]

Actually the main page is as plain as it is because there was a very old featured article — from before I took over administering this wiki — which one of the other few editors on the wiki saw fit to delete, and I let it go because I had no great reason to feature that particular article. If you look at the history of the main page, you'll see I haven't worked a lot on it; mostly just deleted some obsolete material.

So I'm open to any ideas you have. -- BruceG (talk) 23:52, March 19, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah that featured article bothered me, but I wasn’t sure what to use instead or how to set up a semi-automatic cycler. So, go ahead! Crissov (talk) 12:12, March 20, 2013 (UTC)

The example you linked (saying “Background example 1”) is a totally blank page on another wiki. What did you mean? -- BruceG (talk) 00:51, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

I see. Well that's certainly appropriate for Calendar Wiki. You can go ahead, though I think I need to upgrade you to an admin to change the background. Let me know if that's the case. -- BruceG (talk) 13:27, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

Could you please change the text background color to something lighter? Currently the contrast is very low which makes it hard to read. Crissov (talk) 08:19, March 25, 2013 (UTC)

Frankly I don't like that gray color myself. I'd really prefer to go back to the yellow I had before. OK? -- BruceG (talk) 11:16, March 25, 2013 (UTC)

Except for that gray color (which I see you've reverted) the things you've done look OK to me. -- BruceG (talk) 01:15, March 26, 2013 (UTC)

I'm curious as to how you did those buttons on the main page. I might want to do some things like that on some other wikis I administer. -- BruceG (talk) 01:19, March 26, 2013 (UTC)
